I managed to get the Camaro and the Mustang in the garage before the snow hit. This morning I finally had a chance to remove the mower deck from the tractor and install the blade. I have a feeling I may need it tomorrow morning.

Smart - LS4 does not get great mileage (as far as daily drivers go).

Here we are in full winter mode for the garage. D350 and Camaro are stored till the salt clears off, along with three big garden tractors, the RZR with the plow, and the Impala.

Sentimental value is a dangerous thing - I now have a truck I don't use in the winter (it's never seen salt - I'm not gonna be the one to introduce it), along with three tractors - only one of which I actually use on a regular basis. My Grandfather passed about 10 months ago and I learned to drive in that truck - so I guess that stays. One of the Cub Cadet's (model 149) was the first engine we rebuilt together, my sled pulling tractor as a youth, and my reveune stream from age 12 to 20 (mowing and plowing). It's pretty hard to beat an old Cub Cadet for tractor pulling - SUPER HEAVY, which also makes them a pretty decent plow pusher. He bought that one new in 1972, and passed it on to me when I was old enough. The other Cub (model 128) was his tractor after I took over 149. I haven't decided if I can part with that one yet. The third is actually useful for mowing - that was my other grand-father's 1988 JohnDeere 265, it turns a lot sharper and mow a lot nicer (and quieter) than the Cubs. I logged hundreds of hours on that one as a kid at their boarding house in the Catskills - it's neat to be mowing my own place with it now.

I had no plans for the long garden tractor history lesson - it just came out. Guess then snow has me trying to think about anything else other than having to go out and plow with the RZR. I didn't know how fast plowing could be till I had 1200lbs, 4wd, 55hp and a 6' blade at my disposal. It's better than a truck because it's so maneuverable, and will push nearly as much till you start trying to stack big banks.

It's controlled chaos in there - somehow all 1,100 sq. ft. find ways to just attract stuff. Like crazy! It gets a spring cleaning every May, and then slowly goes down hill for 12 months till the next one. I look at that picture and see a few dozen things that just have to go!

The garage sold me on the house, the back room with floor to ceiling windows all around sold the wife. I guess we both made out good.
