Greetings from Arizona
Hi all, new to this forum and after lurking around a bit, decided to join.
Haven't taken the plunge yet, but things could get serious. My enabler (68 Charger 440 R/T) and I (69 Hemi roadrunner) go back to the old days, lots of great memories, but it's never too late to make new memories with soon to be new friends. I retired to the high desert of SE Arizona, means there are dirt roads to drive before hitting pavement, and driving a Camaro on dirt roads is a concern for us. Will have lots of questions over time while learning a new vocabulary. Bob |

Welcome! I also live in SE AZ. Too bad about the dirt roads. Luckily my street is paved. My car has only seen a dirt road once. Was just fine if I went slow, but it took hours to get it clean... Great weather down here for a Camaro and some fun roads are close by.

Not to be a dick. But Gold Peak tea has Arizona Tea beat any day. Not trying to start anything. Just stating the facts

Bob, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Thanks all, the gen 5 was a looker first time I saw it. I've tried to suppress the urge for awhile, but now things are getting serious. I (we) both like the 2SS 1LE package and all that it brings to the driving experience.
The pickup has a 6-sp manual, but it's been a long time since I've done the heel/toe down shifting. |

Lots of "nice" two lane roads in the county to "explore". The closest I've come to owning a Camaro was a set of LT1 heads on a heavily modified SB 406 in a Blazer. Great forum, I'm leaning more toward a '10 or '11 SS that can be modified a bit, like what you've done, and then keep an eye open for gen 6. Not sure about a cam swap yet, will need to learn more about the LS3 internals and clutch. Thanks all, kinda have that fire in the belly feeling. |
