Is there a fix for the headliner yet???
So I can't find a local or semi-local car to buy so was just going to order one. However my ex who recently bought her ZL1 a few months ago told me a few days ago she noticed her headliner was sagging. So I came over to check it out today and it's sagging badly in two areas. I've done some searching over the last couple days since she initially told me and it seems to be a wide spread problem for all 6th gen Camaro's. However so far I haven't seen a mention of a fix and the most recent posts I can find on the topic seem to elude to the fact there isn't one. Still waiting to see what Chevy says this week when she takes it in. However now i'm worried to order one for fear of this issue. It seems replacement of the headliner requires a bit of tear down and removal of the windshield. I've also seen it mentioned where others got it replaced only for the same issue to happen again. I've heard some people are being told by the dealer not to even bring it in and rather just wait until warranty is near expiring. So just wondering if anyone has recently dealt with this or if there are any that work for the dealership that know what the current situation is on this widespread problem.

Mine has a sunroof and so far my headliner is perfect. I wonder if that matters at all, as far as issues go. Just a thought, maybe it's not an issue on sunroof cars.

That's a good question. I wanted a non sunroof car and mine is perfect as well. That would be a interesting question to see if that is a factor.

sure there is a fix, GM pays the dealer $1575 to replace the headliner and windshield . Just got my invoice in the mail yesterday. Oh yeah , $750 for a front wheel that have paint runs all over it.

Where is it sagging, or is it that obvious? Guess I haven't noticed?

Yup, that's the same spot on my ex's car. I'll bet more people have this issue and don't know because it's not horribly obvious. But once you see it then it's hard to ignore. Especially up by the windshield.

Sunroof with the sagging. March Build
I found a local shop to do mine. Gm paid, saved them a boat load of cash and my Windshield. I didn't want to go thru all of the hassle. I also had the windshield tinted so I did want to have to do that over as well. I am very happy with the finish product the guy matched the algaterra or suede. Bottom line it looks good now. |

You get used to it. My car is just so awesome.... I just don't care anymore. Not gonna whine and worry about a piddly little bit of trim in the window.

I haven't noticed any sagging but when the windows are open their is a squeaking noise coming from map light area. Very annoying. Might have to rip the cluster down and shim some shit in there.

So was with my car club this weekend. Three other 6th gen Camaro's in the club. One with sunroof. While sitting down at breakfast before heading out on our cruise all three guys denied the fact they had issues. Then when we all walked out to our cars to take off I examined all three of their cars. Sure enough every one of them had it at the windshield. Needless to say they were all upset to find out their cars had issues, but it points to the fact that I believe more people have this than they realize. It's not overly obvious in most cases unless you know what to look for.
