Post Stellantis Challenger

I've learned that FCA ceased to exist on January 16, 2021. Stellantis is a result of the merger between FCA and PSA, and among the new company's brands, are Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, Jeep, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, Peugeot, Citroën and Opel.

Through various iterations, the Challenger is on a Mercedes/Fiat platform, built in Canada, by a Dutch company. I'm wondering, if not already, at what point does it cease being an American car?

It's not, but they get treated with kid gloves. Sentimentally USA with retro styling and big pushrod engines, even though the dohc 6 might be the only major US component. What amount of design, engineering, testing happening in the US did it take to think through that parts bin? I don't know. And is Gilles a Brit? Seems a good-willed dude.

One of the Mopar blogs had people saying the French are the ones running the show now. I think FCA's Elkan's have a partially French background, but also had a media stake in the Economist with the infamous Rothschild family.

I suspect some of the Hellcat hype was intended to cock-block a not-yet-everybody-in-GM away from traditionalist support, and supply carbon credit sales to help Elon "We'll coup whoever We want! Deal with it!" Musk fulfill his pied-piper role.

I know, let's lump a bunch of loser car company's together, change the name, then magically all the cars get better quality and we`ll sell more of them then and make insane profits for the stakeholders.

Is Mexican and Canadian not American?

Or are we not splitting hairs?

I guess they have the Camaro5 and Camaro6 sites pointing to the same place for some of the sub-forums. I posted all of my comments through Camaro5, but was able to navigate to the same conversation from Camaro6 following what you described. Since I was posting from camaro5.com, I assumed that the message was related to that forum. Seeing how it works now, that does explain why I see some Gen6 owners posting on what looks like camaro5.com to me.

Confusing way to run the forums in my opinion, but yes, point taken about the Gen6 being more murican.
