Any heavier guys here?
I am kind of a fat ass, I am not going to lie. I am strong and muscular in build, but I am way overweight. I am about 5' 11" and 280 lbs or so. This makes me wide. As you know the seats in this car can be a bit tight with big bolsters. At first it's not comfortable, but as the seat warms up, they feel pretty good.
Anyway - I am in the process of losing weight but does anybody else have the same issue? Does the ZL1 cause it's owners to lose weight? |

Hahaha! I lost 5lbs the week before I bought it and 5 the week of ownership. I am 6'3" 280 so I can relate. This car is not my daily, but the few days a week I drove it last week caused me to be more conscious of my weight and make better eating decisions. LOL.

I'm 5'10 185. Strong and muscular too. And I'm trying to slim down to 175 again LOL. The Recaros in the 1LE/ZL1 felt pretty comfortable to me. If I was 100lbs more....doubt it. So yeah, shed a few and they'll feel better I'm sure.

6'1", 250LBs. The ZL1 Recaros are like sitting in 'V'. Not the most comfortable at first, but you do get used to it. I assume for track days they must be amazing, since they really lock you in with zero lateral movement even for the skinniest guys.

I'm no dietitian, so my method is pretty simple: cut dinner and drink water/tea instead, with no sugar of course. Works like a charm, -10 pounds after the first 2 weeks, then gradually less. I keep at it until I reach the desired weight. Just an idea, not sure how well it'd work with higher weights (my worst was 207 lbs), but might be worth a try.

I'm 190 and feel like I'm absolutely swimming in the ZL1 Recaros. To me it seems like seats were designed for someone weighing about 240-260 lbs. I'd say if you can manage to lose 20-30 lbs (easier said than done) you'd fit fairly comfortably. Recaro in the GT350 was a better fit for me.

Better idea is to cut down on breads/carbs/pasta especially at dinner time. Eating a turkey burger or lean ground beef burger (no bread/bun) on a bed of vegetables has worked really well for me. |

I canceled my order on a Z/28 over not fitting in the seats. Those bolsters are crazy tight.
Best thing I ever did since the prices tanked shortly after and the ZL1 came out. I did lose some and fit great in the current recaros, but can see there it can be a problem for some. |

Dude, I am 5'10" and 292. I would love to get back down to 240, but it is way harder said than done when you are 52 years old.
That said, it did take me a few weeks to get used to the Recaros. But, I love them now. Still trying to lose the weight...

I was about same exact size...
5'10', 280. Now 240. Did it (keto) over the winter so wasn't gradual while driving the car (live in Chicago). First time in in this Spring, seats felt waaayy better to me. Didn't pinch as much around the sides and more room between the steering wheel and the BOG (big 'ol gut)! Makes the extended trips a bit more comfortable too.
