According to the Detroit News, work has also been paused on the Chevy Camaro and a future version of the Corvette that has yet to be unveiled and wasn't planned for production during the 2020 calendar year.

Hard to stop working on something that you aren't working on.

Hey guys, quick question. I was wanting to do something about the red lettering coming off of the engine cover and I was thinking I wanted to make it the orange of our stripes. I know I've seen this done on here before. Would anyone recommend paint or vinyl as the best option to do this? Paint seems like the better option, not sure the vinyl would survive under the hood.

I would agree. Go with paint. I plasti-dipped mine a couple years ago. From 10 feet away, looks great. From 3 feet away it’s a mess. I’ll be painting soon. On top of that, I had taped over the letters to avoid overspray. When I pulled off the tape, most of the red color of the lettering came off with it. So be careful with how you tape.

Jim Kalahar (Camaro Program Manager) and Al Oppenheiser (you know who he is). Both signed at the Chevrolet Performance Day event at Rodgers Chevrolet, the dealership Becky was at before moving to James Martin Chevrolet. May 20, 2017.

I don’t think Jim made it to CamaroFest last year. At least when I checked with him he didn’t think he would go, so I didn’t look for him. Now that I think of it, I don’t recall seeing Al there either.
