Tire size question

I came across someone saying running to short of a tire will cause issues with stability control/traction control and ABS. Can someone shed a little light on this please? I’m lowered about 1 1/4 on 18 x 10 Forgestars square setup running 285/40’s all the way around. Is it something that can be adjusted in the tune??

It's only if you have a difference between front and rear. You are running square so no issues at all.

If you have ~1.4" tire height difference or greater you start having issues but you're good.

I am getting some new tires this week, and I will have about 1.2" difference between front and rear. Anyone know if this will be enough to give me any issues?

I am running 275/35/20 front and 315/35/20 rear and it is 1.2 difference and no issues. Been running them for about 6 months now. You should be fine.

that’s the size I’m wanting to go, does your rubber hang outside the quarter panel at all or rub inside the wheel well? do you recall the rims offset?

Both front and rear tires and wheels are even with the fenders, no outside hang and no inside rub at all. The wheels are stock offset for the Z28's, being +23 front and +43 rear's.
