Tune almost complete. The last revision Ryan sent made a huge difference. The shifts are so much better now, even better than my last tune when bolt on. No lurching forward on the shift, just quick, firm, and done. The top end is incredible. It actually scared me on my first WOT pull lol because I wasn't expecting it. Then I did 7 more.

I am not used to my tuner wanting datalog after datalog. I think this is the 6th one I am sending him, which makes me very happy.

Coolant temps are only a couple degrees hotter than previous and he got the fan activation dialed in. But I do notice underhood temps are crazy now. Both my O2 extensions, the plastic looming melted completely off. Those were not touched during the cam swap, so I obviously have increased heat now. I'm going to get some heat wrap today and reroute them. I also need a hood vent.

UPDATE:

Updating the thread with a new Cold Start video. Ryan from GPI completed the tune a couple days ago. Tell you what, that man was amazing to work with. I think he did 7 tune revisions based on my datalogs. He listened to every request and input I gave him regarding how the car was behaving and adjusted accordingly. I am so happy with how the car is performing and will use GPI again without hesitation. Based on my mods he is estimating 450-460 rwhp. I am hoping to have it dyno'd this summer.

Cold start - seems to go into closed loop idle around the 1:20 mark:

That's awesome man! Do you have plans to add their ported/rod modded manifold? I'd bet you see another 10-15 hp. Do you have a UDP?

No UDP, still running the stock unit for now. I will likely start to look into them, as I thought about that when I was making the list for the cam swap but decided against it due to budget. But I do have plans for a Rod Mod/Ported intake with heat shield. Matter of fact I was just on their site last night pricing everything. So much stuff I want, but I have to prioritize lol. Gears and a converter will come after the intake. Also eventually considering having GPI either port my stock heads or picking up a set of theirs, and when I do that I want to upgrade my lifters. These are nearly brand new LS7 lifters I had installed last year with the engine rebuild (only 2k miles on them now), but my conscience keeps nagging me about them, so a little peace of mind...

I kinda regret selling the extra intake I had from my old L99, but I will likely just pay the refundable core charge or do the exchange.
