Do I have axle or Cat back exhaust

So I do most of my own work on my cars but never dealt with exhausts. When I bought the car it had a Borla Atak exhaust already installed. My question is how can I tell if it is axle or cat back.

If there's an x-pipe it is likely a catback. Axleback will retain the stock resonators and h-pipe for M6. I believe h-pipe for auto is in it's giant resonator can.

ZED SLED is spot on. If you can snap any pictures from under the car of the exhaust will help say whether or not you have a catback or an axle back.

I am curious, I have a 2013 M6 car, it is a factory NPP car, did these not have resonators. I recently installed LTH and 3" back to the factory NPP mufflers, but there were no resonators in what I removed from the car. Since this is my only Gen 5 car and I bought it used I wasn't sure of the exhaust configuration variances from the factory.

I agree... just on the other side of the cross brace in the photo, it looks like there is an X pipe. And I don't see any resonators.

I think you are right. Everything I see about the NPP for 2013 does not have resonators. Just an H pipe.

Single bolt band clamps pre x pipe , those do not come stock

Plus 3" pipe after cats leading to the x pipe is not stock, stock is 2.5"

Cat back for sure

And at a second look at the picture you have once again single bolt band clamps right after the x pipe , and axle back only replaces the mufflers and get cut much further down the pipe than where your second set of band clamps start
