Smoked/Tinted headlights

I'm looking at getting headlight covers from someone like Phasetek or BigWorm.
Does anyone have experience with them in a state that requires annual inspections?
I mean - will I fail inspection because the headlights aren't bright enough if these are installed?

I put the phastek

smoked tint on my headlights. Do like i do, just don't get it inspected until you get pulled over, take it off, get it inspected and then reapply. Repeat as necessary.

Assuming I don't get pulled over, I still have a requirement to get inspected every year in Virginia.
Can these be easily removed/re-installed?

I have big wormz light tint on mine. just enough tint for looks, but lights are bright enough that's it's not even noticeable.

Yeah that tint is easy to put back on but obviously you have to buy a new set. Inspectors probably won't even notice, tell em that's how it came from the factory

Yeah, if you put the light tint on chances of them noticing is slim

I have tint on mine and they don't notice at all. I even just had the car inspected. Of course my 3rd break light is tinted and they made me pull the tint from that.

And yet....

the truck billowing smoke isn't a problem, but a little tint on a light and everyone looses their goddamn mind

Same, plus plenty of light at night like regular bulb lights, even get less blasted with high beams from people thinking i have my brights on.
