We have both a 2 post and drive on lift at our shop...I helped install both. The two post I find is best to place the vehicle(at least front engine stuff) about 1ft biased towards the rear. They both have their advantages for sure. The drive on is nice for quick jobs such as fluid changes, but I prefer the 2 post for more extensive projects. It just allows for more room to work.
