Dealer won't warranty 1LE hood wrap. Help?
I have numerous bug splatters that won't clean off the hood wrap on my ZLE. They accumulated with normal use. I did not let it sit there and bake on and I removed them as soon as I could. The car has 10k on it and is close to coming out of bumper to bumper warranty. I know this is a common issue between owners and GM and curious how others have fought to get it replaced.

Chevy dealers have cured and will cure factory defects, workmanship errors, and damage in transit on vinyl wraps as long as they're communicated at time of delivery or very close to it. Some MFR's have 12mo customer satisfaction and will do concession fixes on peeling paint, wrinkled/loose seat leather and "warrant" other similar things for original buyers. Not sure if Chevy/GM do this for Camaros, but I doubt it.
I don't know of any dealer who will "warranty repair" cosmetic wear and tear on any car after 12 months. Certainly not bug splatter etching. If you want your wrap fixed, take it to a wrap shop and pay them for a re-wrap. Better than that, upgrade the vinyl to a matte PPF that is more rock-chip and bug resistant. |

Wrap it yourself. It's easy and cheap. Google "3M 1080 hood wrap instructions" for the OFFICIAL 3M hood wrap install instructions pdf file, and follow those instructions only!
