advice on high mileage "new" SS price
Ok my local dealer has a 2SS with several options that I would like but not need but the colors/transmission are right so I was going to
So here is what its got on it
the MSRP is 49,295.00 but its got 2100 miles on it (I have seen used ones with less) Do you think I should be able to get this one for less than one with just exhaust and less than 100 miles on it? What would you target as a price? I would like to spend no more than 40k in general which might be a little optimistic. Advice would be greatly appreciated. |

No way, you should be able to get that price on a new one with a just a few miles on it. With 2100 miles I would consider it used.

If they won't discount this guy I am going to talk to them about finding what I want with just the options I want (I wouldn't pay 2+k for the LPO wheels) I have only been shopping online at this point. I haven't been to the dealer yet to even look at it. I am certainly not going to feel bad about test driving a car with 2100 miles on it |

I wouldn't touch it. 2100 means its been someones weekend fun not just a demo car. I'm more worried about how dealers drive things than private owners lol.

Some of the craziest drivers doing the stupidest crap where I live have those dealer hard plate tags on them. They don't care because they don't own it. Rod the piss out of it then sell as new. Not sure how that's even legal but happens a lot.

Well, consider what your budget is. If you're saying $40k at most start at $37k. Tell them it's basically a used car, and see what happens. If it doesn't work out no biggie. One other thing to consider - the forged wheels are a $3k option on that car. If they're not that important to you see if they'll swap them out and start even lower.
Bottom line is, you've got the money and they've got a car with lots of miles they're trying to get rid of. You are in control; if they don't offer you a good deal then move on. |

Well they didn't see too interested in selling any cars to be honest. Lowballed my trade and wouldn't make any moves on prices which were kinda high IMHO.
They certainly didn't know the difference in a 1ss and 2ss packages. Off to the next dealership I guess. |
