Aftermarket TPMS (short version)

I am buying some aftermarket wheels for autocross and I understand that a shorter nub TPMS might be required to clear the 1LE brakes. (i know, i have not seen the wheels yet and it doesn't make sense), but regardless, i want to go ahead and purchase short nub, or small stem TPMS.

Does anybody here run such a thing on their racecar and could provide a pointer?

Brian

Buy OEM.. less headache. Used sets are $40-$70 on ebay all day long.

Go OEM. I skimped on my last set and all 4 stems developed leaks within a month or two and would constantly drop off the monitoring system.

Not sure how TPMS can pose a brake clearance issue, but another vote for OE. The cheap ebay stuff fails pretty regularly and that's no fun for autocross or a track session. If the car can only see 1-3 sensors it won't let you disable ECS or use PTM. It has to see all or none.

I suppose one could make a wheel with the tire valve hole drilled some place other than the outer face. Not sure that would be street legal...

after today I received my new wheels it was clear that the "internet review" on those wheels was either wrong, or they have located the stem to a normal place. I'm going to go ahead and order OEM. Thanks everybody for the suggestions and ideas.

These wheels look pretty sharp..
