What do you dislike about 6th Gen? Or anything that made you almost not buy the car?
Especially manual LT1-powered and convertible owners please!

Nothing, if you’re thinking about a M6 LT1 convertible, I say do it. They’re really fun cars.
The only “real” downside / sticking point, may be storage. With the top down the trunk is pretty tiny. There’s not a lot of interior storage either. You can make accommodations to get around those by using the back seat, if needed and adding some velcro storage nets etc. No matter what, you give something up to have a convertible. Its a very composed, tight handling and special car, no matter what trim level you buy. As an FYI, I’ve owned a 2016 1SS convertible (comparable to a LT1) and now my current car. |

nothing at all. in fact the opposite. i would pay double for this car and still be happy.
by far the best car i've ever owned and by far the best car i've ever driven. the car is so damn good i cant believe how they can sell them this cheap. 99% perfection. one tiny snag for me. because mine has a heated steering wheel it doesn't have cruize control off button. that's my only nag lol..amazing car..cheap to run aswell really. no high service costs like german crap. test drive one and then test drive an s550 lol..you'll see why we all love our cars

Buy it, you won't regret it... (unless you are financially stretching to buy it, then buy something more within your budget)...

I'm not crazy about the electronic parking brake.

I don't like the party poopers who set the speed limit on public roads.
Does that count? |

Only downside for my LT1 is the all season 245 tires on all four corners. The factory tires really neuter this car's performance capabilities, especially the lateral grip, but also noticeable in cornering and braking. If there was any way I could have bought my new LT1 without the factory tires and rims, and just talking my own set of rims and tires to have them mounted in their place, I would have done so. Unfortunately you can't negotiate their factory rims and tires out of the new purchase. The LT1 truly transforms with appropriate rims and tires. The car begs for a super lightweight but also super expensive set of carbon fiber wheels.
Other slightly annoying things include skip shift. 155 mph speed limiter due to the crap factory tires, and finally, frequent cleaning of the front wheel brake dust and soot on the tailpipes. |

Only complaint would be the exhaust system for the V8 models. GM has always been weird about the mufflers on the Camaro. I got the NPP which is decent but the huge suitcase is so stupid. Just provide a decent cat back from the factory and be done with it. Otherwise, for the price of the car compared to the competition it can’t be beat.

Gas mpg is the only negative. But you have to do the math on that going in. Besides that, nothing really.

- the electronic parking brake (I'm used to it now)
- the weird cut on the center console (my elbow falls in a weird area, but I fixed it by playing with the seating position - storage inside (fixed it by printing a 3D holder for my phone) - small trunk opening (I just take my SUV so no big deal) None of these items were serious enough to regret the purchase, even coming from an M4. I absolutely love the engine, 6-speed, exhaust, brakes, etc.. I'm pretty sure the manuals don't have AFM and I get around CAGS by pausing between 1st and 2nd or waiting for ~20 mph before shifting. The stereo sound quality is pretty crappy but with a loud V8, it is just background noise anyway . Touchscreen works really well and the wireless Carplay is the best I have experienced so far (Waze works flawlessly). |

Nothing at all. The car turned out to be everyhing I was hoping for and then some. Could it be improved? Are there compromises? Yes, of course, just like with everything designed and made by man, but I have no dislikes.
GM is a disappointment as a manufacturer, but my fantastic dealership, especially the service department, compensated for that as much as they could.
