VP 7 in 1 fuel treatment

I don’t know if it’s placebo, but after adding a bottle of this to my fuel tank, the vehicle seems to have much improved throttle response. Wonder what’s in it? Has a slight acetone smell.

Well, it claims to clean out your fuel injection system and help restore lost power. Since your Camaro is still new, I think it's doubtful this stuff is actually boosting your engine power. Unless of course you normally buy crappy 2nd tier gas that doesn't have the detergents that top tier does, or maybe if you normally run 91 octane (maybe this thing also functions as a small octane booster).

At any rate, you need to be careful with these additive treatments as some contain chemicals that cause a residue to form inside the engine and on spark plugs.

From the SDS its petroleum oil, solvent, and coconut ester oil?
us car people, we always want to feel like we are doing something better than the manufacturer recommends.

Next time ask someone else to put it in when you don't see and don't know about it; if you then notice any change, it's genuine. Best placebo elimination technique
