Battery Replacement

I've had my car for almost 4 years now and hasnt needed a battery replacement so I'm thinking of being proactive on buying a battery incase it fails soon.

I have heard good things of the antigravity batteries, any other lightweight batteries you guys recommend?

Following for recommendations. I've had my car 5 years and 9 days with the original battery. I should probably be proactive and replace it soon, but why break my streak of waiting to buy a battery until after I get stranded somewhere.

There are not a lot of reports here of early battery failure.
5-7 years is about the expected life of a battery.
If you are not having problems, I would hold off on replacement. I have purchased "new" batteries which have had a cell failure within a year. That drops you to about 10.5 volts and the car won't start. This is impossible to predict. So, if a battery is still performing, I keep it. Usually when the voltage starts to drop a bit you will get quirky electrical problems. The battery in my last GM lasted 7 years and I traded it with the original still in the car.
I put new in quotes above because all batteries are pretty much made from recycled materials.

that’s correct. Most all batteries today are made with recycled lead, and that’s the biggest reason they don’t last as long. Virgin lead is a key factor in long battery life. Of course other things count as well.

Related question: how much of the trunk do you have to pull out to get to the battery? I know there's the little door in there to kinda access it but that isn't big enough for the battery to fit through.

My 2010 Gen 5 2LT still has the original battery at 132,000 miles.

The OEM battery is AGM, which is in general better than your typical lead-acid stuff. I actually replace the typical lead-acid batteries with AGM in any cars I care about, for one simple reason: conventional lead-acid will leak and when they do, they make a bloody mess.

I would personally just get a maintenance charger and charge up that AGM once in a while to keep it happy, if you are concerned.

Upgrading to lithium is, well, not a great value IMO. Yeah, you lose some weight, but I don't think that's worth $500+ unless you are just that desperate for weight reduction and your car is already literally out of things to get rid of.
