This is just the 3rd run on these tires and with a battery that puts out 15V thru the run. (My 30a Antigravity died in the pits, so I ordered a 40a. I believe using a conventional charger killed it.)

1.73
10.92
130

This is with 2nd gear launch, which, as it turns out, will not work well on current build at altitude w/o a looser converter, or it's back to 1st gear launch with early 1/2 shift.

10.92 at 6500ft adjusts to ~10.04 at sea level.

It should run 10.50s up here after we figure out a decent launch.

Mph seems low. I get your having launch issues but at your power level it should be pulling like a freight train up top.

Um, you are giving yourself way too much of a handicap there. You have a supercharged motor, so the calculation from your 10.92 would actually be a theoretical 10.55 sec. I have raced at high altitude myself, so I know from experience what the real difference is from low altitude, and NA wasn't as big as the handicap you are giving yourself, so forced induction sure would not be.

I have lived and raced here for over 30 years and -.0130/1000 ft. is a good number for these stock blower cars.

You can also see it in the times of dealer-supplied stock ZL1 Camaros at Bandimere [there's a demo race series for them here], where they run high 12s versus Chevy's advertised high 11s.

Anyway, the car will get quicker this season as we figure it out. It only has 3 runs.

You can not use the NA conversion table with a highly modified supercharged car. NA suffer the most at high elevation, then FI, and Nitrous the least. I will say that Bandimere is a slow track. It's obvious by how much slower the NHRA PS and Top fuel stuff runs there. On the other hand your car should trap over 150 at sea level and 140 in shit air regardless. So I think you still have some other issues to sort. Like you said only the 3rd pass. Get the kinks worked out and make sure the tune is sorted and it will get better.

I'll be trying various 1st gear launch tunes tomorrow.

Good luck!

Side note I don't know any tuners in your area to help you out without resorting to remote tuning. Andrew @ CSP knows first hand how to tune like I mentioned in PM.

Well, I've seen 13-sec Hellcats and 14-sec Coyotes at a low altitude track. Just because someone else is slow does not mean that you should cling to some flawed correction factor. Try running the same machine, operated by the same person, making the same kind of run, at both high altitude and low altitude, and see what the real difference is. I've already done so, and I told you the straight truth, that your claimed handicap is too generous even if you were NA modded, and therefore is way too generous for a modded supercharged engine.

BTW, NHRA's correction (without forced induction) for the Denver track would give a 10.27 estimate from your actual 10.92, and using the forced induction correction gave a 10.5 estimate.

5th and 6th runs of the year, 2nd and 3rd runs today, both into head wind, both 1st gear launches, both 10.68 @ 132; 60 ft. a little better, 1.71

Correction factor up here for Super Stock is .9405, so 10.68 corrects to 10.04.

Picked up .25 today, so maybe 10.40s are possible up here

Better...but Super Stock isn't a supercharged category. Factory stock is.

Justin Lamb, national super stock champion, and under the hood is a ... Magnuson Supercharged (stock 2650) COPO engine (which tells us I need more correction than Justin) ... go to 4:19

I understand the bar is set pretty high for entry, but I created the list/group below out of frustration at the ones in this forum and one other FB group never being updated. Honestly, I think the fact that there aren’t limits on the number of spots and that there are so many separate lists are the reasons admins just give up. The task becomes too great for a volunteer effort.

In any case, I wanted to share it in case you weren’t aware. The sticky/announcement has the link to the list. If you join, please read and agree to the rules.
