Oil change - going a bit over dealer’s limit?
Hi! I did an oil change at 2000 KMs, right after break in period. Now I have to do it at 10.000, as it says on my window sticker. I am already at 10.000 and plan to do the oil change next week.
I have to drive the car to work until then, meaning that I will have ~300 KMs over that sticker limit. Will this void my warranty or create any problems when I take the car in for an oil change? Thank you! |

Good question, I can't see it as a problem but I'd get it changed asap. I always do my oil changes when the reminder tells me I'm near 25%. I do it for my engine, not for Chevy.. I always do my own as well. Just keep all my receipts and reset the clock as well as document what I've done. That's sufficient regarding any questions from GM.

The electronic reminder is at 45%, but the sticker says 10.000.

Go with the OLI. GM will use that over the sticker.
