I wrecked my Camaro on track...

Some of you may have seen my post on Facebook, but for those who have not, here is the video of the wreck at the Kink, but also the process of dealing with Track Day Insurance. Let me know what you guys think:

Glad nobody was hurt! I don't think I'd be brave enough to track my car, but it looks fun. Well, not the crashing part of course.

Well I give you credit for doing it, not something I'd ever do with mine.... I know these cars are built for it, but exactly what happened to you is why I'd never chose to do it.

Another reminder that anything can happen on the track. With over 300 track days in my logbook now, I've been lucky enough to never have a "big one" and I have always self insured. I'm taking the ZLE to Road Atlanta next weekend for the first time, and this has me thinking hard about buying insurance.....

Well, you walked away from it. Damn near came close to saving it. You also had insurance, so at least you're not out big $$$$ as well.

I’d love to take my car to the track, then I see this and don’t even want to take it out of the garage lol

My friend turned my Twin Turbo 5th gen SS 1LE Shiny side down on a race track. In the end my street insurance paid for my 1LE becuse it was an instructional track day, not a competition. Of course I was out $20K for the Turbo conversion.

But I was lucky. If you do a track day get the insurance. No regrets.
