I wouldn’t waste money on the SC3s. I have 2200 miles on my car and I can’t wait to replace them. They don’t hook for shite. I ran Conti ECS on a 750 hp supercharged Viper and they hooked way better than SC3s on this car with 650 hp.

I just bought the PS4S.

My tire shop was only $225 difference between the ECS and the MP4S. That doesn't include the $70 rebate on the MP4S, so including the rebate only $155 difference, no brainer.

Those Michelin’s are magic. The PS2s were great but when the PSS came out it was game over. Still continues with the PS4.

I have a brand new set of Goodyear SuperCar 3 (Non R) the full tread version.

Just paid $1,375 for them new from TireRack... and selling now, still unmounted... $1,100 OBO.

Can text/email actual pics. PM me for details.

Best regards,
Dave

You can't compare tires on two completely different platforms.

The chassis and alignment definitely plays a role for available traction, even within the same tire.

Example, my previous car was the M3 and even with 180 treadwear extreme performance tires I could only get full throttle traction for about the first 500 miles, after that they were just as bad as the stock PS4 tires that came on the car. Yet, I have had the same extreme performance tires on a different car and they were magic.

With 650 HP and TQ, you are not getting any tire short of a prepped DR to hook fully. There is a limit to what a RWD, front engine car can get for traction.

While your point is valid to an extent, I have multiple high performance cars in my garage and have used a number of different brands of high performance tires. I stand by my assessment that the SC3s suck. Mine will be replaced soon.

Thanks for all the great info. I’ve been really pleased with Michelin’s on my passenger cars. Have a long commute, and they’ve typically been worth the extra $$. Have to check them out assuming I can land the car. Part of the reason my guy recommended Hankooks was they were readily available.

Likely won’t track the car. Just looking for something safe that hooks decent and aren’t quite as ‘sticky’ as SC’s.

You over paid for them.

I am on my 3rd set now from TR, and have never paid more than $1300 OTD, and with TR you get the road hazard protection for free.

Currently there is a rebate on them, so the net cost on TR is $1,104 with the mail in rebate and free hazard protection.

The Rebate just went live today... they are out of rear tires... I like how you say I 'overpaid'... they are $1,375 RIGHT NOW on their website... please show your shopping cart showing lower? Yes, with the rebate they are $1,300 + TAX... maybe you aren't using 1LE sizes?

I only quoted the cost directly from Tirerack, so not sure how I overpaid? Mine have the same certificates and receipt from Tirerack... they are brand new never mounted... $1,100 OBO seems pretty reasonable... I'm looking forward to your '$1,104 reciept'...

Dave

Sorry, my bad. You have the ZLE, not the SS 1LE. I was talking about the SS 1LE sizes.

All good, lots of different 1LE's nowaday's. Yeah, these are for the 305/325 ZL1 1LE Goodyear F1 Supercar 3's. Set of 4 shipped for $1,100. No tax, no shipping should be $400 less than able to order.

Best regards,
Dave

I wanted to piggy-back off of this thread. I live in Atlanta, GA and just picked up a new '19 ZL1 vert and I'll be driving her daily (well, once out of quarantine). A bit worried about how these tires are going to act below 40. We obviously don't get much snow and if we do, the wife's '19 XC90 will do the job because she works from home. Should I take it from this thread that Michelin PS4S would be good/better for me to drive year round?

I currently have the 4S's and I love them. Now that I am making 750 RWHP I still spin them doing a 50 roll, even with the 325's... I am thinking of switching to something else.. Anyone have a stickier compound with similar performance?

For the amount of performance you get considered, they are the best for 40+ degrees and aren't bad in the rain compared to others.
