EXHAUST NOT LOUD ENOUGH =(
I GOT AN X PIPE ,DELETED RESONATORS AND MUFFLERS AND PUT A STRAIGHT PIPE..IT WAS ALL CUSTOM MADE AT THE MUFFLER SHOP AND I FEEL LIKE IT SOUNDS LIKE A V6 .NOT LOUD AT ALL.MAYBE SOME V6S SOUND EVEN LOUDER.I WONDER WHY.ANY THOUGHTS?

I have an l99 .....shorty headers solo hi flows....magnaflow xpipe....muffler delete. Its very loud....your car must be loud. Go you have a vid?

its seriously not loud.i also have a 98 z28 with same exhaust set up and its way louder...I didn't get exhaust tips just the straight pipe till the end ,does that matter?

Do you have the stock cats? Am i reading it right that you just deleted the resonator and mufflers with an Xpipe. The stock l99 resonater gives the car a deeper tone.... the xpipe gives it more of a higher pitched sound.

yeah I have stock cats.i was shocked when I did all that and I was expecting it to be loud but its real mellow not aggressive enough

J/K Get rid of the stock cats. They're about the only thing quieting the exhaust. Is the custom stuff 2.5" or 3"? That will make a difference as well. |

Yeah when I did cat deletes and retained my stock muffs, it was very healthy sounding. The stock mufflers aren't restrictive at all and actually sound pretty damn good with no cats ahead of them.
