Disaster Avoided
Now, I am brand new here and yet to have my new sweet Camaro for a full week yet. As I am driving home today from work (my new found joy) I pull up to a red light driving in the center lane. In the right lane in front of me there is a flat bed work truck (no tailgate just flat) with two dogs chained to the bed so they don't jump out I am assuming. I am a huge dog lover and my first thought is that right now it is 110 degrees outside and they must be burning their poor little paws on that metal bed. Then one of the dogs squats down and pees right there on the truck bed. I know how gravity works and I know that as soon as that light turns green and the truck moves forward that pee is going to be shooting out the back. I am thanking God at this point that I was not directly behind this truck (oh that poor Honda). Sure enough the light turns green and you know what happened. I purposefully stay stopped until I know it's clear to go, gas it and pull way in front of that truck! Yuck! Who would have known I would be dodging pee in my new Camaro!!
We are now home and my sweet baby is tucked away for the night in the garage. Tomorrow is window tinting day! |

How is that legal, to chain dogs to a flatbed truck? I'dve reported him to the cops.

It would be worse to have them not restrained and going flying out to be turned to road pizza. It's really not that bad, I mean if you buy one of those silly dog seatbelts, you are "chaining" the dog to your seat and the interior of the car. Better that dog pee be on the outside rather then the inside. Glad the OP was observant enough to stay pee free and keep that nice car smelling like it should.

As the OP said, it's pushing 110 (in Arizona heat) and the dogs are wantonly peeing on the bed? The whole thing disgusts me, people like that should be shot.

Just yesterday there was a slow construction contractor truck in the left lane on I-471. I should have known better than to stay behind him -- the first big bump/seam in the pavement, BOOM!
All the little concrete and stone pieces stuck to his undercarriage started raining on my black Camaro at 50 MPH! Agggghhhh!
