How loud?
Is the ZL1 any louder at low rpm than the SS all else equal?
I loved how my SS sounded without a muffler and am thinking about doing the same to my ZLE but I want to make sure not to piss off the neighbors. |

I agree, having had both with the dual mode exhaust. I only notice a slight whine in 1st gear in the ZLE.

Isn't the SS generation 6 compression 11.1:1 and the ZL1 10.1:1 so the ZL1 should be a tad softer on start up, but I imagine the human ear cant tell the difference decibel wise !

Jokes aside, I heard that the Weapon-X lid amplifies the whine if you're so inclined. (I for one am happy with the near zero whine from my Maggie, it helps with the sleeper factor and doesn't remind me of a worn ball bearing.)

Just put a set of Kooks headers and green cats on it, and remove the catback. Of course it would the loudest w/o the cats.
