Rear tire size on 2013 2SS

Hey,...any advise on the max rear tire size for stock 20" wheels on my 2013 2SS?
I am looking at replacing tires and would like to put the max rear tire size without rubbing or significant speedometer inaccuracy.
The stock rear tire is 275 /40R20.
How big can I go?

zl1's had 305/35's on the rear. i don't know how much rubber you can put on a 9.5 inch wide wheel i'm sure you can do 285/35's.

275 is pretty much max. Some have done larger, but not recommended.

If you plan on staying with stock size rim, then I personally wouldn't go above 285 (I had 285s on 9.5 rear). Some guys push up to 305, but consider your sidewall sizes and how you plan on using the car. Best bet, stick with what works. Also, from personal experience, depending on tire manufacturer at least in 17 or 18" sizes, 285s are a pain to find (maybe more readily available in 20s, I don't know).
Go 11s in the rear and go nuts safely with wider tires, maybe not a bad time to consider this while looking for tires anyway.

tire shops are going to tell you don't do it
forum's same thing don't do it
I've been running 275 40 20's on the front
and 315 35 20's on the back for at least 2 years

No Problems

they make em in a 24 https://simpletire.com/tire-sizes/lt375-40r-24-tires
i just posted my pics up today of the 20x10+35 with 275/40's.it's close with that offset i wouldn't want to go any larger on the front. on the back a 305 would have been nice.
that being said give the 305's a shot.
305's are around double what a 275 costs.
what are you looking for summer or all season?
