Yea I had to reverse the polarity(Positive to negative, negative to positive) on the added 6x9 speakers to get them in phase with the stock setup. If the speakers are out of phase then the bass will sound very thin because one set of speakers are pushing while the other set is pulling and that cancels out the bass. Then I had to clip the ANC wires at the harness on the stock amp to get rid of the rumble noises that the factory system pipes through the speakers. I left enough wire so I could reconnect them if ever need be. I initially tried to unpin them, but I felt like I was going to destroy the connector doing it, so I just clipped the wires and put heat shrink tubing on the exposed ends.

I just threw an after market amp in my car. The chimes are absurdly loud. Would you recommend using just the rear speakers as inputs to eliminate the chimes entirely? Also regarding the speaker phase. I hooked mine up normal, and the bass sounds good. If I reverse polarity for the rears, I can potentially get more? |
