I am not the biggest fan of Bose, I have stated that here many times, the only Bose item I have ever bought is their Bose Wave Radio that I use in my large family room that I stream music to via Bluetooth, great product!...having said that the Bose system in my 2SS is very good for a stock system. I used to be heavily involved in car audio many years ago when I was younger, this is obviously not some $5000 custom audio system, but it is very good the way it comes, I am very happy with it. My days of installing systems are over, plus my back can't handle crawling all over the ground! Lol.

The sub in the C7 Bose system was handily built into the area behind the back panel in the truck (behind the license plate) and they louvered the panel for better acoustics...this car really needs something for the low end for sure

Speaker Location????
I was actually gong to start a thread about this system... For the kind of music I listen to, this is absolutely without a doubt the best system I've ever had stock in a car...

It's really funny how subjective sound is. Personally, I am not very impressed with the BOSE stereo system and am considering a complete re-do, but switching out some of the speakers, i.e. the rear, seams like a big PITA. The bass in this system is extremely muddy by using door drivers and the high end is not very clear. I would say it's an easy system to listen to in that it is loud and the louder it gets, it doesn't get painful, but it's not an accurate system in any sense of the word. My previous 13' Accord had a somewhat better system.
I am wondering if anyone has changed out the speakers and purchased new amps and installed a dedicated subwoofer. It seems like the wiring and that installation would be a breeze with he battery and amplifier basically 3 feet from each other. |

I hope they do something like that or give a few bucks off for having less speakers.

Very Good
I think it's a good sounding system. I mixed a session using genelecs and a decent Focal and then played it back (no mastering) and the sound reproduction was on point. My only beef with any system is that lower frequencies are sometimes over saturated.
