Arm rest squeak

Hey,

Has anyone else experienced this? My arm rest in the middle of the car (The lid to the compartment) squeaks every time I rest my arm on it. Since it's a manual transmission car it squeaks all the time. This plus the exhaust rattle is driving me nuts!

I think some people are more sensitive to squeaks and rattles than others. I haven't noticed any in my car, but I'm too busy listening to the roar of the engine and feeling the exhilaration of 1st and 2nd gear, then 4th and 5th, for any of those to penetrate my cloud of happy.

If you hear squeaks and rattles.. you aren't driving it properly.

I have a squeak right under where my elbow rests. Wondering if it's just since the temperature has really dropped. Might try tightening the screws underneath or taking it off and putting a small piece of rubber in the area. There does seem to be a little give with light pressure causing the squeak.

Sorry to post a reply to an old thread but I am experiencing this exact issue in my '19 1LT. The armrest/cover to the center storage area squeaks when putting light pressure on it. Definitely a rubbing of the plastic of some kind. Kind of a pain, especially with a stick shift. Has anyone with the same issue discovered a fix for it?
