Anyone tried interior painting or painted parts?

Looking for ideas on colors for the interior. I like the yellow hertz rental trim part with led still exposed. I took the carbon off because i could see a tad bit of the silver showing.

I cant decide to paint it black, yellow or red..

black is the go to..
yellow matches car
red matched seat belts and interior stich.

If it did red or yellow I would consider doing the console around my carbon fiber and lower dash the glove box and below wheel in a straight line across.
maybe something in the back seat but not much.

Any ideas..

I’m going for the yellow door trim pieces like the hertz version.

Kind of expensive but I switched out the paddle shifters for yellow ones. Looks great and OEM

A small thing, but looking at your first photo, you may want to paint the plastichrome bezel around the cluster. I covered it in black plastidip, no more glare and looks OEM, see below.

Matte-ing out that bezel glare on a vert would be awesome!

Thanks guys. They come off easily by gently pulling away from the dash, down and towards yourself, starting at the top end. They're only held in place by small plastic clips, see my 2nd pic.

Chicken out and went w red.. I think yellow would of been good but no yellow on interior. If it had yellow sticking it been perfect

Finally safe enough to install lights back into frame. Should have panels back on in a few.

Glad you went with red. Yellow would’ve been a bit much. IMO, those Ferraris are way overdone!

How did the paint come out? Any tips? Looks really good.

I’ve been considering something similar on my car… just want to break up this sea of black.

Paint came out perfectly.

*Sand all parts w 400
*Use SEM prep spray or acetone w lint free cloth to clean
*Adhesion promoter spray
*Tack cloth very light so not to leave residue of tack on
part
*Primer several light coats 10 min apart
*wait 30 minutes to wet sand if needed or applying the.
color of your choice
*spraymax 2k paint with hardener or regular enamel paint then follow up with 2k gloss or matter with the hardener either way I think it's best to use a paint w a hardener.

You could even prep the parts and take then to a paint shop and have them spray them with left overs from a job with even better hardened paint.

The lights remove easily from the frames with a solder iron. Just pull while you heat.
