Any 1LE owners interested in the GEN 6?
Now that we an idea of the pricing is anyone itching to get into a GEN 6? I like the interior, rev match manual transmission, bump in power from LT1, reduction in weight but is it enough to make the jump?

Not for me thank you. I'm sure it's a great car, but not for me.

With how our cars look with, big brakes/aggressive fat tires/awesome rims, just to name a few things, I'm so happy with my car!

Not a chance for what they are being priced at. And with what the future ZL1/Z28 will likely be priced at, a pre-owned C7 Z06 will be a better buy by the time the high end Camaros come out in the next year or two.

Took one look at the new front end with the odd, pointy hood and my first thought was "well, that's going to look awful with a black 1LE wrap!"

I bought my 2015 1LE because I didn't like the rounded back of the Gen 6. The bells and whistles wear off. I can't get enough of the Gen5 looks. I think GM knocked it out of the park with the Gen 5.

Especially the '14-'15! Lots of aesthetics on the G6 that I just don't like. The only improvement, in my opinion, is the gauge cluster behind the steering wheel. As for mechanicals: love the LT1 (except for DI).

Same here. Just wondering if 1le owners think there is enough there to justify the cost for a GEN 6. My 2013 2ss 1le will be worth about $27k this time next year, (well at least the bank who leased it to me does) but having to pay over $40k for what the Gen 6 has to offer seems like a lot.

With the additional cost, the lack of a 1LE, and the softened looks, there's no way that I would switch from my 5th to the 6th.

Well for me
1) I DO NOT want a DI motor . 2) I just do not like the way the car looks . 3) I do not want little brakes (13" that dam small compare to what comes on cars now days) 4) I do not want little rims ( as in how wide they are ) 10" >8 1/2" fronts 11">9 1/2" rears and we will not even getting into the fact that they are forage light weight rims made in the USA to on the 1LE . 5) I do not want little tires (as in how wide they are ) P285 > P245 fronts P285> P275 rears and I do not want run flats tires on top of that . So any time GM want to get up off there a$$ and make a real 6 gen car that NA power with the right parts then and only then I thing about buying one . |

I honestly love the new one's looks in SS trim with the aero package. I am invested in my current car, so wouldn't want to sell it soon, but I can easily see myself grabbing one of the track oriented models when they get released. The back also looks gorgeous in my opinion.

Everyone is always emotionally invested in what they have, particularly in the 1LE thread. So, OP, you'll get lots of "No way! The Gen 6 sucks!"
In reality, I am sure the Get 6 will be better than the Gen 5 in most every way . . . even if the looks take a little time to grow on folks. Question is, is it worth the financial loss that comes with selling our Gen 5 now and the financial cost of buying the 6? Further, do you want to take a chance with a first year car? Not me. I'll stick tight for a while. |

I will reserve my opinion until I see one with wide wheels, fat tires and aggressive offsets... I do however love the 5th gen cars, especially the 14-15 LE's...
