Why is stupidity so persistent in people?

I've decided I'm never going to wash my car again. Every time I do, I find a new scratch or dent and I'm tired of it.

Today I found a huge scratch on the endge of my passenger side mirror, before that, a huge paint chip on my rear bumper, I also have 3 door dings, two of which still have the paint from the car that hit me. The list goes on, every time I wash the car there is a new scratch or dent.

It really doesn't bother me as much that I find a new scratch or dent everytime I wash. They're all fixable, I can touch up the chips and fix the dents, etc...

What annoys me beyond anything is the fact that no ONCE did any of the people that hit me, (the ones that are obviously from other cars) did anyone stop to leave a note or find me and let me know that they scraped my car or hit it with their door. I would honestly forgive and forget, if anyone bothered to try and let me know that they hit me.

Right now, I have decided that I'm never going to wash it again and treat it like a POS to avoid getting so annoyed with all these scratches and dents....

So u are never going to was your car again because people don't leave notes that hit your car. Are you telling me that if you drove a shit box and you hit a car that you would leave a note or wait until you saw the people that own the car. Is that what you are saying really

Yes. It simply human decency and honesty. The small dents and scratches are not expensive to fix at all. Which is why they don't bother me as much as the fact that people would run and hide before facing up to their mistakes.

The never washing my car part is just me being dramatic, but I really do mean everything else.

I feel you Milk. Today I washed, and yet again noticed tiny blue stuck on specks of what LOOKS like a smurf came along and shit on the car in random spots(in reality it looks like loc-tite). Even though I don't park near any shops on the shipyard, I find this smurf shit on a regular basis, and today right in the smack middle of my hood I found a spot of what looked like someone left something caustic between my 2 stripes. I will have to clay and hope for the best.

Get a daily driver, and just use the car for fun. Yep it sucks that is how it is, but sure keeps me sane.
