Mods4cars one touch top module

Huge thanks to 2018CrushVertSS for the incredible deal on this module

Had a couple hiccups but mods4cars tech support fixed everything

One touch open and close using the button in the car and 3x on the remote to do the same

Glad you got it all working - what was the issue you ran into (just curious)?

If you opt to change any of the programming, it's a little tedious. Otherwise, goes in and "just works" in about five minutes.

Think it needed a wake up call. They had me plug it into the car fully, attach a USB power pack, hit the key fob a couple times then unplug the power pack.

I was skeptical but it works perfectly now

Huh. Interesting. As long as it's working.

Did you upgrade the firmware? I don't think you're at risk from anything concerning if you didn't, but my guess would be that the firmware on it would not have the programming bug fixed that I found.

I had a similar little hiccup when I first installed mine. I think I tried to use the fob first and it didn't work until I cycled it the first time from inside the car or something like that. I chalked it up as the equivalent of "booting it up" the first time.

I had connected it to my PC before install, checked firmware (which was current) and walked through the settings app. I think I changed 1 or 2 settings, but out-of-the-box it has a pretty decent setup. I think one of the settings I changed was to allow it close the roof from the fob (even though I still have to do windows manually.

At some point, I'll connect a laptop, and change the setting so that start the car doesn't pause roof movement. I've run into that already and while not hard to reach up and hit the button again, would be nice for it to just continue its process.

You can program the module while it's installed, sans laptop. It's a little clunky to do and takes a few minutes, but it works.

Programming it with a laptop is definitely the simplest way to do it, though.

This is the single best mod you can put on your vert especially if you have a manual transmission.
