Velossa Tech BIGMOUTH Ram Air Intake Snorkel

Does anyone have experience with this product and can give opinions? If not, what are your thoughts? I want to install it on an N/A SS. Not sure yet if i'll run a SC in the future. Thanks.

Here is a link to the BIGMOUTH:

If it be installed without dropping to whole front end I would buy it.

Apparently it can, while they didn't provide much data themselves a member on here in another thread in the lt1 v8 section posted that his iat levels dropped substantially to ambient.

Pray was also developing something like this and gave his endorsement to this product on the FB thread about it. Seemed good enough for 150$ so I ordered one.

I was semi concerned about this as well but honestly on an lt1 I doubt it would be of any issue. Maybe on an lt4 its more cause for concern and even then its probably fine.

The tradeoff in lower IATs should more than make up for that.

If you are taking in less heat, you need less cooling.

It can be, I installed mine through the top as well. Benefits to be see/had next season. I initially thought it was going to be a challenging game of "Tetris" but with one right move it slid into proper position for a final adjustment and bolting. I will say I lost the smaller/shorter of the two plastic bolt hole covers into the abyss trying to get that final piece seated while working through the grill. Also note the hood latch bolt on drivers side gets covered by the unit limiting the ease of that reinstall too.

We’ve been talking about this in this thread on page 4. I also have one and need to install it as soon as I get time. Driven2excess beat me to the install. 6spdhyberblue also installed his too.

No performance gains stated? If no gain then why bother?
