Did you put the car into the learning mode before using it?

Best bet is to check with your local dealer's service department. Just ask one of the service advisors which one they use. They use one very similar to the one shown, and they can even order it for you. Normally around $50.

As a note, my dealer sets my TPMS any dive I drive in, for free, and right there on the spot. No waiting, no cost.

I bought that same one awhile back, didn't work whatsoever. Took my car to discount tire and they have a super nice one and they did it for free too.

Edit: fake news, this must've been the older tpms in my vettes. The magnet did not work when I just tried.

I'd rather hear the story of how you "accidentally" discovered this.

Return it and try again.

I've bought 1 from amazon that was a cheap knock-off and didn't work. Returned it and the next one worked. That is definitely the correct model that you need, it's probably just a knock-off version.

Works if you just let air out for about 30sec too.

That only works on 2011's and maybe 2012's, Not on 2013's and newer. They changed the procedure.

You know. Thinking about it, may have been one of my older c5s. Too many gms.

I'll try when I get home and adjust if untrue on my 11.

A 13 here, and I just tried it with the magnet. It didn't work, so I tried with a really strong magnet. Still didn't work. So neither the magnetic tray nor magnetic broom worked for me.

Yes I set the car in learn mode first. I got my learn tool out after and reset them.
