How Many of You carry a Fire Extinguisher in your car?
Yesterday I watched NormalGuySupercar, and the ceramic coating on his new headers caught fire on his car, and he did not have a fire extinguisher with him.
Got me thinking...How many of you carry fire extinguishers in your car, and if so, where do you put them? I'm thinking I want to get one and put it somewhere in the trunk. Mark R. Albuquerque, NM |

Nope. GM decided to make my limited edition ZLE a mass-produced car. I'd just buy another one, it's why I pay for insurance.

It's funny you mention this, I pulled on my property yesterday, I just had one of our places brush hogged. I pulled on the place in my ZL1 and when I got out I watched my car for 10 minutes making sure no grass or smoke was coming from under the car. If you ever see a car or truck go up in flames from hay in a road its quick ! Watch the cats on any vehicle.

If it catches fire, most likely would be damaged to the point where I wouldnt want it back anyway. Break out the marshmallows and weenie roasting sticks, and enjoy!

I don't carry one either, no way I would want it if anything caught on fire.

Nope, for the reasons most are saying here. Just get away to a safe distance and let the FD do their thing. Then get the insurance check and get a new one.
It would suck though if you had a highly modded car as insurance generally doesn’t cover most of that. Plus the time to get everything done again etc. |

Car fires are pretty toxic, best to be worried about getting out.

Brey krause has a perfect mount for the passenger seat .
My opinion it's a must have safety item . For 2 reasons. It can be used to smash the window if battery gets disconnected in a crash. And if I'm trapped in a car that catches fire I want as much of a chance to survive. |
