I went with a Borla cat back Type-S. I think it's perfect with almost no drone but sounds aggressive. And much lighter than the stock suitcase mufflers.

If you want even more aggressive go with the ATAK cat back.
Thanks, I'm kinda concerned about drone. I want it loud but not obnoxious. I've heard Borla is really good. But it seems a bit pricey.

i bought and installed the first one..pretty easy, did it on my floor with jack stands and a sawzall. not much difference in sound at idle, but more aggressive at WOT.
Thanks man. I do have that in a Jegs wish list. Definitively considering it. I'm wondering how much drone I'll get with the resonator delete.

I have a cat back Borla atak, no headers at the moment. It sounds very good low RPM, throaty raspy and no drone in the car. Once it is above 4k RPM at WOT it is LOUD though and a very snappy sounding loud if that makes sense. It also crackles and pops about 3 second after you let off the throttle at pretty much any speed for a second or two. I like it, but you may not. Inside the car with the windows up it is not too loud. roll the windows down smash the throttle and at 4-6k watch everyone's head turn, sounds amazing under a bridge but it is LOUD. You CAN drive it normal and it isn't obnoxious though, kinda the best of both worlds.

I've got my eye on a few used npp zl1 mufflers on ebay. Need to figure out how to get them to function on demand.

Hi guys.
Just bought Camaro 2ss L99 and has no resonator(or x/h-pipe) and mufflers just straight pipes. Its to raspy for me. Thought about flowmaster super 44 and h-pipe (like deep tone). Should be ok? Regards....

P.s. AFM probably is still on board. :(

Headers, no cats, spintech 3".... no x pipe. If you want the old school sound do not get an x pipe.
