I loved the episode. I learned quite a bit.

GM was working on hydrogen powered cars. That seemed to have a skateboard frame. Is that still in the works?
I’m not being defensive, but in minute 29 you mention that guys are removing the AFM. I didn’t change the valves, but did the plug in a disabler. Like you say, it wasn’t about fuel economy, but for me it was about the sound. I pulled the fuse on the NPP and it sounded horrible in 4 cyl, until I plugged in the disabler.

I will be in line for an affordable fully EV that puts out 700+ HP, and I will mod it to add the external speakers, amp and the App that syncs the amp draw to the volume. The amp should have a selector to toggle thru the various V8 engines and shift patterns. Lol....the bass speakers would go where the mufflers normally would be. On Saturday, we use the SD455 4 Speed with Borla ATAK. on Sunday we go with the stealthier 350 small block automatic tranny, and factory muffler. It would all be for safety reasons, because EVs are so quiet you need to hear more than the sound of your tires.

The skateboard that GM was working on was designed to allow for multiple different energy types, including fuel cell and battery electric. The closest thing I’ve seen to that concept is the Rivian skateboard.

As far as fuel cell stuff, GM is still working on fuel cells, in collaboration with Honda. There are actually Honda engineers on campus with GM engineers in Pontiac working on a common fuel cell technology. GM’s focus for where that will be used appears to be directed towards military and commercial vehicle applications.

And yes I do wish the H50 had been a package option for any color and it added the graphics/badging/interior/etc. but they didn’t. I think it would’ve made them more money but seeing what they did with the 45th I figured a repeat type thing. I’m just glad it wasn’t a one off color like they did on the 45th as well as I didn’t care for that color either. I like the NGM though so it all worked out for me.

And yes the money tree, haven’t found one of those yet either. Medical bills and a few other things have sidelined my projects for a bit. Is the way of life though.

And glad to hear you will be at CF9 John. Can’t wait to catch up and see what you’ve done to yours.

LOL...I love the FIFTY as is, but I really wish they had made them the color of the 2016 pace car, Abalone White. (It is slightly iridescent) or some other special color.
And didn't decide I wanted a Camaro until March of 2012. I didn't know about the 45th until I found out I COULD get one in metallic black.

I agree wish it was the Cadillac Abalone White that those 3 or 4 race ones were in. But I still like mine so it’s all good.
