I replaced battery with a new Duracell, checked voltage
And it was 3.04 volts , still didn’t work! Somehow, when I Changed battery, it lost its ability to communicate with car It has to be re- programmed! It’s a process!! Somewhat Involved!!!! |

The reason I suggested swapping batteries between the working remote and the non-working remote is to eliminate any variables, if the battery works with the working remote, then it should work in the non-working remote if it’s only a battery issue.

I second the idea of switching batteries from the "good" FOB to the other. The Other remote is still programmed to the car or you couldn't start the car with it in the cup holder. Now there are relay only 2 things that I believe could be here, since the "good" remote works. Your non-working remote doesn't have enough power to transmit. So check using a known good battery from a working remote, and check that out is inserted correctly. If this works you just need to get another battery. If this doesn't work there is an issue with transmitter in the fob and you most likely need an entirely new fob

Battery is new, and a Duracell, and
It had 3.04 volts before I installed it It’s not the battery, it’s probably the Fob or a re programming issue, I’m reluctant to remove the battery On a working fob, as it seems the defective FOB stopped working when I installed new Battery, unfortunately I might have to take It to Stealership and have a “Tech” try to “Fix” it! Good Grief! |

I just ran into the exact same issue. Keyfob stopped working. Put new batteries and no change. Ended up buying other brand batteries, and the keyfob started working again, even tho the other ones were new and showing 3V. I'd suggest you try different batteries! Worth a shot, I thought mines were dead.

I had key fob tested by my dealer ,found key fob
Was defective, they ordered new fob under warranty So, it wasn’t battery, it was FOB |
