Water In Trunk
Lots of rain here in NC over the last few days. Went to put something in the Trunk to find about 2 inches of water.
Been having problems with the weather seal around trunk always coming off. Anyone else experiencing these issues? |

My car doesn't sit outside but have had no issue with the weather seal around the trunk after car washes or sometimes driving in rain.

Could be one of the water drains is stopped up with debris.

Check the wire pack running from under the deck out to the trunk lid. As you close the trunk, if this wire kinks, it will get stuck in the weather stripping along the top edge. If you ever put a large item in the trunk, it is fairly easy to accidentally push that wire up and slam it in the opening.

Thanks will check today
Having trouble with the dealer saying that this is not covered under warranty. I've asked why and they said because I installed a rear window dashcam. However, none of these wires comes near the weather stripping. Still battling and may need to escalate. BTW - they haven't even told me if any of the electronics have gone bad - just that it's not covered. Very frustrating. Quote:
