Are there really any gains to be had with these or are they mainly for engine safety sake?

I am running a mild, but lopey stage 1 cam and bolt ons with the stock pulley. Am ok with this setup? I don't want to compromise AC or charging.

Stage one cam I would say you are good as I’ve been running a stage 3 on the stock pulley with no issues. As far as gains go these aftermarket pulleys will pick up prolly 8-10 whp on average. Most of the gains are due to either less parasitic loss from driving the ac/water pump hard etc or from less vibrations in the engine. The harmonic balancer that I picked up is 10% underdrive so it’s running the accessories a little less, but not to where I would have issues with the battery and such. But where the real gains come from from my research is the reduction of vibrations in the valvetrain, crank, lifters, etc. the ati balancer is supposed to be the best of the best in controlling those vibrations that rob horsepower and cause premature failure of parts.

With the 10% underdrive can you use the stock belts? I know the 25% you need new belts

Good choice for the money.... U want to protect the engine from vibrations and that's the reason I bought my Fluidampr with just 25% on the alt which is on a higher idle anyway..and no under drives do not gain squat BTW.... but hey at least you did not get a SLP they used to be shown on here to fall apart like a stocker....

DO not know the belt you need you should be able to find instructions on some parts site like summit...the one they showed for mine though was right length wrong gates number...LOL Guys writing instructions somewhere are not always right..... And under driving a/c can suck...BTW when you want to stay cool... Good Luck! Talk is cheap; otherwise we would all have little fans in air intake tubes being mini superchargers from China....

No engine movement at all and throttle almost instant lol little more vibes but you’ll get used to it lol bc race car. I’d say do it

Looks like I'll be getting a SLP or powerbond
