Spare Parts?
Hello from Aussie. With Gen. 6 Camaros having been in existence for several years now, I was wondering how you guys were finding what the availability of spare parts was like, body panels, trim, wheels etc, and whether such availability will continue after Camaro production ceases in 2024?
I suppose I'm prompted to ask this question because following the end of production of our CV8 Monaro ( GTO to you guys ) & our HSV Commodore range, some spare parts are increasingly difficult, sometimes impossible, to obtain. |

So, no-one has ever experienced any difficulty whatsoever in obtaining spare pars for their ZL1,...front & rear bars, wheels, brake parts etc, all readily available, and can you order from a central point, or do you go through a dealer? In Aus, we have to order via a dealer, who in the case of a ZL1, would have to order from someone in the USA.

They talked about it here:
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=615462 From my POV, there were more issues last few years but many were solved. Haven’t seen a part that I couldn’t get within a week or latest a month but I haven’t needed big parts. Usually eBay, or a parts site which is just a dealership somewhere in the country with a website

Now with you being is Aussie land, I'm not sure if you can use online sources, reliably, to get the parts you need. |

Thanks Vigilante & Bumbleboy, some interesting info in the links provided.
Seems you guys are sharing some of the concerns / issues we've had with respect to the closure of Holden. Yes, spare parts are "supposed" to be available for 7/10/15 years whatever, but holding manufacturers to account is not as easy as it may seem. |
