Besides the grounds, I went with one of these starters and haven't had any issues since.

After you clean the connections use a product like NO-OX to prevent any future problems.

I used Corrosion-X ,that's what it's for to keep connections from Corrosion.

Dielectric grease is a good option.

Dielectric grease is not a good choice-it won't conduct.

??? …
You might want to research that again. We use it extensively on aircraft. It’s specifically made for electrical connections, of all sizes.
Granted, this is put on the connection after, tightening everything up.

I took apart my old starter to look for anything that might contribute to the slower starting on my car. While there was no damage or burned wiring etc, there was a lot of metal shavings debris from worn brushes. It was caked everywhere in the armature and brushes area.

Not sure if you saw this or not. I had to install two in my Camaro, the one in the trunk and one from the bell housing to the body. Took care of the problem.
Yep, I followed the same approach and "no mas" issues + I increased the idle spark advance via HP Tuners, and it starts every time after hard runs in the Florida sun & humidity. I also bought a rebuilt starter (Delco) and had it installed to replace my 12 yr old OEM starter as added insurance from the infamous "hot crank" issue with these cars.

Now, I need to reduce "under hood" temperatures with a 2014 ACS hood vent purchase or a Whipple hood vent for my 2011 SS M6. My intake (Z/28 airbox) temperatures are in the 130s -140s range in ambient air @ 94 degrees in Miami.

Awesome brother! Yea I also went with a brand new AC Delco starter as well, and wrapped it with a DEI heat shield. Also to keep your under hood temps down, you could do like many of us have done, if you haven't already, is take the rubber strip off the cowl area under the back of your engine compartment so the air will flow out from under the hood. It works. A lot of the vette guys have done this as well.

Thanks!.. I will do that this weekend (Labor Day) along with some other things I had planned to do to the car. I'll let you know after some hard runs and data logging with HP Tuners on my laptop.

Cool. Have a great weekend. You might not notice much sitting, but moving you will as the air will be flowing in the front grille and out the back of the hood at the windshield area. Plus another thing about it I noticed with it removed, you don't get that built up air pocket under the hood that wants to make the front end "float" at speeds over 130 mpg because it can escape out the back. Win win..
