DRL chrome trim

Does anyone know if the DRL trim price from the SS 1le is available? On the 2ss it’s chrome and I hate it but the 1le has it in black. I would like to swap them out rather than wrapping it or dipping it. I’m sure this would be a hot item if thatgmpartsguy.com offered it. What you guys think? I attached a picture for reference of the chrome piece that I’m referring too

Considering it takes about 2 minutes to vinyl wrap them I don't really see there being a market for this. Literally the easiest vinyl application I've done on the car lol.

Did you remove it and wrap it or wrap it on the car?

I honestly didn't want to break the taking them off since I hadn't seen anyone do it yet so I just wrapped them on the car. Just make sure your measure and get the right size on the width first or be ready to just trim off extra and tuck it. The only "difficult" part was the top since it is right up against the black plastic. Just heat the vinyl up and slowly work it in the small opening.

Wrap it right on the car, takes 10 min, use matte black, I did the whole front that way, 2 yrs later still looks perfect.

I put Gloss White on mine to color match the car, looks amazing over a year later on the car. And even if you do get a chip in it, just take 10minutes and re-wrap it.

Hmm I guess I will have to give it a try wrapping it. I just never did anything like that before so I’m a little nervous about it. But worse case scenario if it doesn’t look good I could just peel it off

Get a wall switch plate at Lowe’s for 50 cents....wrap that to practice, learn how hair dryer heat allows the wrap to stretch .....

Then do the car.....

It isn't too hard to learn. This is the first car I ever did Vinyl on. It took about 4 tries on my front Bowtie to learn how to heat it and stretch it properly. And like you said, if you mess up just peel it off and use another piece! I recommend a heat gun/hair dryer and an xacto knife.
