1le spoiler.....issues?

So I've heard a few times that a zl1 1le spoiler on a reg zl1 or ss will damage the trunk lid, but have not been able to findx any of those threads. Has anyone verified this? It looks like to me the part number for the trunk lid is the same.

Yes. I've heard rumors that it can make a non 1le trunk lid buckle, but can't seem to find anything on it.

The answer on this topic is inconsistent. One person posted here claiming they had their trunk buckle, but never provided evidence when called out.

It is unlikely the deck lids are different considering they all use the same part number. The shops have been unable to confirm a difference in the 1LE v. non-1LE deck lids.

IF anything is buckling the trunk it is the downforce not weight of the actual spoiler

Not an issue, there was an engineer that confirmed this already besides I seriously doubt you will be driving 150 MPH for any length of time to even come close to testing the strength of the trunk lid. Seriously don't worry about, it's all good. Post some pics when you get that bad boy installed....

Thanks guys, appreciate it. I opted to get the c7 carbon in CF full height for my Z along with Anderson composite AZ hood. I hope it all blends well
