Delete duplicate thread. All season tires for a cold track day

Delete I’m an idiot and didn’t see the EXACT same thread.

The all seasons won't have much endurance on the track and will likely get over-heated and slippery after several laps. So the reassuring traction that you start with at the start of a session will give way. If you want a "track worthy" tire that tolerates cooler temps than something like an SC3 (I have a 1LE; can't comment on your OEM tires), I'd suggest the Conti ECS, which are my daily tires. They seem to have better grip below 40, and they are reasonably quick at higher temps (only used them on the track at 60F) without getting slippery towards the end of a season (not SC3 quick, but hey, the Contis are a 340 tread rating).

Oh this is great feedback. Thank you!

High of 50 should be fine for summer tires, even the SC3 that comes on the 1LE. Just have to start slow and give yourself a few warm-up laps to let the tires get up to temp before you start driving at your normal pace.
