Hello all,

I am now sold out of all dead pedal inlays, and do not plan on restocking.

I will be making another thread for the remaining gas/brake/clutch inlays I have.

Thank you all for your patronage!

So my HRC dead pedal cover has come unglued 2 times now. (Regular glue and then the black rubber-reinforced super glue.)

Can anyone tell me the part number for the OEM plain black dead pedal?

I want a new one out of the car that I can work with to figure out some kind of real, permanent method to glue down the HRC dead pedal cover. (Really like the cover and want to make it work.)

I bought a tube of one of those “ultimate” super-bonding, instant-grab construction adhesives that you use in a caulking gun. Says it dries “Crystal Clear.” I think it would be easier to start with new, clean, dead pedal out of the car to give it a try.

Thanks!

I would try black RTV. I haven’t installed mine yet, but that is my plan.

M0DRN71: I might try that. I’ve been researching metal to plastic glues. There a couple of epoxies I’m looking at as well.

STILL haven’t been able to find an OEM replacement Dead Pedal though. Google’d it a bunch including parts diagrams, and have searched on some of the GM parts websites as well. Tried calling it “dead pedal, left foot pedal, and driver’s foot rest.

Am I missing something?

Man, I spent a good hour searching last night too. No luck on a dead pedal part number. Have you tried to take it off? Usually the PN is stamped on the back of it.

I’ve taken it off twice. Problem now it is all jacked up with superglue residue, which is why I want a new/clean one to try again with.

I had another member tell me it looks like the dead-pedal is part of the driver’s side carpet assembly and can’t be purchased separately.

So I probably will take it off AGAIN, and try to re-glue the HRC insert again with the “instant grab” construction adhesive.

I'm interested in a foot rest pedal cover for a 2017 ZL1. Are there any available?
