more info on the A10

I found the trans volumes for both the ZLE and ZL1 w/ A10

It says that fluid needed for dropping the pan and changing the filter is approx 8.1qts for the ZLE (RPO code A1Z) and 8.7qts for the ZL1. That seems way too much

The 2020 ZL1 and ZLE both come with the MI4 transmission

That's crazy... why did you change it out then?

We had a guy who was a pro caliber driver run a session at NCM and overheated the trans. That was when the A10 1st came out. I never had any issues but not driving near like he was.

Yes same 10L90 trans. 10L80 in the SS

Fluid level was reduced to keep from windage & foaming / aeration which causes temp increases. Worse on sticky tires & aero which increases the lateral loads (of course). Not saying you get zero of that with an A10 regular ZL1 on G3's. Now, if his TCM "accidentally" got reprogrammed with the more race-car like cal from a ZL1 1LE A10...
