Blade Spoiler Install Guide for RS/SS!

I do NOT take credit for writing the Install guide. All CREDIT GOES TO GM FOR IT!!!! Kracka and I only edited it so it is easier to follow via 1 instruction per page as well as making the lettering and pictures larger.

BASICS:
- 3 Piece Part: Left and Right Corner as well as the mid section.
- REUSES SS wing holes AND REQUIRES drilling more holes.
- Left and Right Corner REQUIRES extra adhesive but also does have adhesive tapes attached to it.

REQUIRED TOOLS:
- Drill with 7mm, 9mm, and 15mm bits
- Anti-Corrosion Compound Clear (Oil Base) GM Part Number 12346225
- Solvent Pack (not sure which exact one, maybe supplied?)
- Adhesives: DOW K1, DOW U400HV, OR EQUIVALENT THAT MEETS PERFORMANCE PER GMW3041
- Scissors
- 220 Grit Sandpaper

HERE IS THE PDF DROPBOX LINK:

I am actually let my bodyshop handle this and won't be putting an actual guide with pictures. However, decided to digitize the guide for other DIY'ers out there! My next how to will be "de-badging" AND how to remove front and rear size markers (whenever mine arrive).

THANK YOU!

Wow… Talking about installing for Armageddon… If I do this, there's no way I'm doing that many holes ,not to run around town and use it as a daily driver. I'll delete the ones with the X's and then thin-film tape it ,so it looks uniform. And the end pieces should be fine with thin 3m VHB tape. (Not recommending, just how I'll do it)

I don't have access to dropbox at work but would that middle whole already be drilled? I would think it is for the middle stantion on the SS spoiler. I can't imagine you would need to drill that many new holes!

Glen those holes are for the SS and Nascar crowd going over 100 mph. LOL You have to leave your town to get up to speed and out of the traffic to use those holes. Just Kidding around.

I am in one way glad there is no metal work that needs to be done. Although I almost started to like the idea of the split blade spoiler like the older ones that were 3 pieces. Just Nostalgic.

If you look at the diagram it looks like the green dots are holes already drilled.

My guess is this guide is for cars with the smaller, lip spoiler, not the SS wing. I think that one is just taped on, that would explain all the holes needing to be drilled. Plus the SS wing I would assume would have holes further forward on the trunk lid, which these images do not show. That would also explain why some where told this will not cover up the holes left by the SS wing...

Actually made sure it was for BOTH RS and SS. First thing I asked lol. Rumors and everything on the forums and elsewhere just ruin the actual real info :/

The diagrams showing where to drill, SS wing already has 3 of those holes. So you'll only have to drill 6 holes LOL!

We have only heard rumors of how the blade spoiler is installed, some said it'll cover the holes left from the stock wing, some said it won't. From the diagram, it looks as if it will cover the holes left from the SS wing. I just went to the garage and checked. I don't see why it wouldn't. I will however let you guys know for sure once I actually get it installed

Just did, it is THE same trunk with the same inside the trunk section as Glen's. But the top of course is different. SS wing is bolted on via 3 spots on the top. I will post some pics once photobucket stops failing to upload em...

Thank you for the pic and inspection Glen!!! I for one, am glad you sold the c7 and joined us
