I'm running 20x10 with +25mm offset on the front with 285/35's. I have no issues. Based on the factory offset on the rear at +39mm (and assuming my math is right), you would need a 5mm spacer to achieve the same backspacing (or clearance) I have. In my opinion, a 5mm spacer is plenty safe for street duty. I would not track it or be overly aggressive with them. However to get the 15mm "push" out towards the fender you want, you would need 15mm more spacing bringing the grand total to 20mm. I personally would not do this, but I know many have.

You didn't say if your starting point is the 18 or 20 inch factory wheels, so here's both:

A 10mm spacer would put the outside face of the stock 9.5 wheel 16 mm further out than a stock 18x8.5 inch wheel.

A 15mm spacer would put the outside face of the stock 9.5 wheel 14 mm further out than a stock 20x8.5 inch wheel.

He's right. That's what happens when you do math in your head instead of writing it down..... I shouldn't have added 15 to the 5. 15 is all you need. Still a pretty thick spacer. Stock studs will be too short to get the recommended 7 full turns.
