Heading to Atlanta Dragway for EatonTVS Throwdown

Leaving Tuesday for the TVS Throwdown in Commerce Georgia, its for all who have a Supercharger with Eaton Rotors. I haven't been to the track yet because of weather here in the Midwest, so don't really know how fast I'll run but guessing 9.70s@144 or so. Our best last year was 10.03@139 with 1 broken ring land. I just recently switched from Hoosier slicks and front runners to M/t 305 45 17Rs and 28" SR front runners so I added about 40 lbs from my Hoosiers that were Bias ply. So I'll weigh in somewhere around 3900 lbs. with me in it. But I expect to have quicker 60 ft times with the DRs, I hope. We were on the dyno a few weeks back and made 801/792 so thats up from 713/692 on the old motor that was originally in the car. I won't be fast enough to compete but Magnuson is a sponsor for a couple classes so I'll do my best at driving so we'll see where I end up. I will also run True street and if I do run in the high 9's I'll either pull some timing to slow it down or go to a larger pulley with less boost to run the 10.00 class. Its a crap shoot but what the hell its only 755 miles one way and nice weather for the week, Friday is the only chance of rain at this point with temps in the low to upper 70s. This is an NMCA/NMRA event from April 4-7th.

Well so far not so good, missed my first call to the lanes by 1 minute. Second call didn't get the new MTrs smoking enough and spun like crazy, lifted and it shifted to second as they always do and nailed it again and ran it out the back door. Yesterday it rained until about 3pm and we didn't start running till 5 something, waited, waited and finally at 9 we went out real quick to eat and they called my class earlier then I thought they would and missed the call again. Its been a cluster, now it looks like I'll get two hits today before True street and TVS Throwdown qualifying .

Later today I ran into some other issues, pig rich and it blew the fuse in the boost a pump in the water box. Got towed back to my Magnuson Sponsor Booth Took a little while to figure what happened but one of our dealers was right next to us and came over and said do you have a boost a pump and I said yes, he said check the fuse and we did and it was blown so we got that fixed and loaded Mikes tune which I'll try tomorrow. Couldn't hardly get car to do a burn out, almost like torque management was screwing with the tune. Did run a 10.02@139 in the TVS Throw Down Qualifying, had my best 60ft of 1.44 and best 1/8 mile of almost 6.44@111.99. However on the log it was down in the upper 10's on AFR, after sending Mike the logs and him working on the tune it should be Jack The Bear tomorrow. This car is going to truck in the first round of TVS Throw Down., weight transfer is good and packing the left front wheel tells me we are close to making the big dog hunt. I have 3 2650 EBrocks I have to run against, I need to take some of them out to get to the finals. I should be able to run 9.60's, but we shall see.

I didn't weigh it at the throwdown but its probably about 3900 with me in it and 1/2 tank of gas. It was 3855 last year but added about 40 lbs switching to the drag radial setup. We just couldn't get the tune right, my AFR was dipping into the 10's and it was pig fat all weekend. I guess I could have a bad o2. It just wouldn't run after the 660. All my logs before heading there were 11.8 to 12.2 but on the big end we were seeing 10.5 going thru the traps. Can't make power like that for sure.

Assuming your running a return fuel system. Do you think it could be fuel system related? Bad regulator perhaps? Good look figuring it out.

This is direct injection, its a tuning issue. I had someone else tune it Mike is trying to line out that tune. I hope to go back to my local track this weekend to make some more runs and send logs to Mike again and we will get it straightened out.

Oh wow. Your still running the stock fuel system with that blower? I went to a return style system in the 15 GT. So I could run E85. And also just so I could max out my 93 tune. I was out of fuel at about 700hp. Im also looking to get to the track soon to see what the car will do with more fuel. Ill be happy with a 9.whatever. At a race weight of 4070.

Running all Lt4 pump, injectors and in tank pump with a boost a pump. Plus running VP109 and Meth/water injection. We will work on the tune again this weekend if weather permits at my home track. Just need a couple more passes to dial it in and weather looks pretty good also this weekend.

That track is super tricky to run well on. It's notoriously slow. You should be proud of running what you did especially with the tuning issues
